City councils either get it or they don't. Tapping into the talents of street artists, illustrators and graphic designers is an effective and exciting way to make dull public spaces new again.
It also is a great way to keep graffiti away. It actually draws attention to a building giving it much more potential. It can improve the value of a building, bring in new occupants and could inspire more creative ideas for the surrounding area.
Street artists and muralists bring with them vibrant and a new perspective that architects or designers may not have.
