London Design Week

Design week has hit London, nine days of amazing design in one of the most creative capitals in the world. All over London exhibits are taking place, showcasing new talent and concepts. The Spinning Hat office is very excited and plan to enjoy as much of the design festival as we can possibly cram into nine days.

One installation that has caught our attention is project OUTRACE at Trafalgar Square created by Designers Clemens Weisshaar and Reed Kram, it encourages the general public to take control of eight industrial robots.

With a combination of engineering and imagination 'OUTRACE' is a popup factory: a temporary production facility for writing large scale messages with light in three dimensions.



This is a must see even if your not a fan of design, after all where else would you given the chance to send a text message to a robot and then see if written using light for everyone in Trafalgar Square to see?
